See a summary below to stay up to date with some of the things going on in our business right now.
Teacher Walkout - Thank you for all your hard work during the teacher walkout. We have been very busy and you all have done a great job handling the extra business and serving our guests with excellence.
Team Member Transitions - We also know that it has been very busy and that we have been a bit short handed at times with team member transitions. First, I wanted to let you know that we have several new staff we are brining on that we think will be great for the business and are excited to help with some of our staffing needs. Second, I know that there have been some transitions in leadership which can sometimes leave people anxious, frustrated, or confused about what is going on within the team. I want to let you know that with any team member transition, our goal is to treat people leaving Chick-fil-A with honor, dignity, and respect. That means that before anyone leaves our business we are doing our best efforts to communicate with those team members their unacceptable behavior and that we have gone through a progressive disciplinary process. There are many steps and conversations which happen behind closed doors with team members before we terminate their employment and most times team members are given every chance to correct their behavior before it is determined necessary to end their employment. It also means that we try not to spend time after a team member transitions talking negatively or speculating around their departure. If you have any concerns or questions, please feel free to reach out to a Director in our business and they will do their best to help address any of your concerns.
National Volunteer Week - Our vision of the business is to have a positive influence on all who come into contact with Chick-fil-A and one way we do that is through partnering with our local community. As part of National Volunteer Week next week, Chick-fil-A Southroads is donating over 250 sandwiches to local charities and non-profits in our Tulsa community. We also want you to have a say in what organizations we are serving so we have selected 5 organizations for you to vote to see who should receive 50 sandwiches for their charity. The organizations are below and you can vote this week at the store and let us know what organization you’d like to see us support. It is through your hard work each and every day that gives us the opportunity to afford to be able to give back in the capacity we do so thank you! You are the reason why this can happen and you should be proud of your contributions!

New Employee Volunteer Benefit - As we continue to focus on our vision of our business, we know that partnering with our community is a key component to our success. We do a lot at a restaurant level to give back and we know that you do a lot on an individual level, however, we want to provide more opportunities to you at a team level. So it is with great pleasure and excitement that I want to share with you that we are creating a new Employee Volunteer Benefit. Starting this week, each team member will receive 4 hours of paid time each year that they can serve a local non-profit organization and get paid for their service. Details will be on our team website at team.cfasouthroads.com.
