Right Now | Leadership Updates

At Chick-fil-A Southroads, our vision is to have a positive influence on all who come into contact with Chick-fil-A. One of the ways we execute on this vision is through focusing on our people and our Employee Promise. One of our Employee Promises is "We Are Stronger" and our commitment to meet those who desire to grow with the resources and opportunities to develop both within and beyond Chick-fil-A. That's why we are excited to announce some transitions to our leadership due to development as well as changes we are making to our Director team to help better facilitate growth of our Team Members.

We want to congratulate three of our Team Leaders who have developed tremendously at Chick-fil-A and will be launching to new opportunities beyond Chick-fil-A. Megan Riddell - Megan will be transitioning at the end of September to pursue her lifelong dream of starting a business/non-profit which focuses on having a positive influence on earth, animals, and human kind. We are partnering Megan with various non-profits to help her get her dream started so please reach out to her if you think you might be interested in supporting her in any way.

Sarah Decker - Sarah has gotten a new job opportunity and this will be her last week with us. Sarah is one of our original grand opening team members and we are so thankful for her time at Chick-fil-A over the last three years. She has grown from a team member to a senior team leader and we know that she will continue to soar in her future opportunities.

Ryan Eldridge - Ryan has been interviewing over the last few months for a position at the corporate office of Chick-fil-A and we are excited to announce that he was made an offer to join the IT department at Chick-fil-A Home Office in Atlanta, GA. Getting a job at the home office is no easy task and we are proud of Ryan and this new opportunity he has. His last day will be between the end of September to first week of October.

As we launch these leaders, we take a moment and pause to thank them for their contributions as well as acknowledge the sadness of losing those that have not only been our close friends, but family. In times like this, we know that though we are sad to lose such great people, we are excited about the opportunities it holds for them as well as our current team members to continue to grow in the business. A few opportunities to consider if you are a team member wanting to grow.

Team Leaders - we have several team members such as DeVaun Pool & Joanna Redenius who are finishing up their leadership training, but we also have several more interested and starting their journey of growth to leadership. If you are interested in growing as a leader, visit our website at team.cfasouthroads.com and view our "Roadmap for Growth" on next steps.

Office Manager - we will be backfilling Ryan's role with an Office Manager role. This will be a full-time manager role. They will be less focused on systems and processes and more focused on office/financial management tasks such as payroll processing, supplier payments, invoices, accounts receivable, change fund, amongst other tasks. This role will also served as an executive assistant to the Owner/Operator in helping with scheduling, communication, or other administrative tasks. We will be searching externally as well as internally for a candidate so if you are interested, please let Michael Shurtleff or a Director in the business know of your interest.

Finally, in an effort to continue to focus our efforts on our Employee Promise to team member development, we have decided to make some moves amongst the director team which we believe will help provide more direct investment into our team member's training.

Phil England - Phil will be leading our business as our new Training Director effective October 1st. Phil's extensive experience in both front and back of the house operations makes him a perfect fit for leading the training and development of team members within our organization. Phil will be responsible for all new hire training as well as ongoing training of team members in our business.

Angel Aguirre - Angel will be filling the big void left by Phil in the Hospitality Director role also effective on October 1st. Angel has worked together with the team to create great systems and processes in drive thru leading us to break several drive thru sales records as well as bringing us from bottom of the chain in drive thru scores to top 20% in the chain. Angel will continue to lead Drive Thru as well as front of the house Hospitality as part of his new role.

We know that as transitions happen in the business, there is always a time of adjustment, but we are excited for the changes that will be happening and know that we will continue to grow as a business and look forward to the positive influence these leadership transitions will bring for team members and our business! Thank you for all you do and please do not hesitate to reach out to a director if you have any questions.
